no coax connection...

i have a spot in a room where i want to put a receiver at but i have no way to get a coax connection to that spot. i know Dish Network has a solution to this. Does Directv have a solution for this?

That X10 unit is the same technology as the link to the one on Amazon. Just cheaper.

Also, note that since it's wireless there may be interference with other wireless equipment (cordless phones, WiFi).

I'm not sure what if anything can do it pre-receiver, but I would highly recomend not wasting the money/time on that one. The ones for after-receiver work terrible, pre-receiver would be even worse.

You are best to find another seutp. What you saw at that girl's house had to have had coax involved, the small antenna just was the RF remote receiver. Dish receivers have a modulated coax out for other TVs, but the DirecTV receivers do not. Even on the dish setup you would have to run coax.

the only other thing that would interfere is my wifi. i live in a pretty remote area and the closest thing to me is about 100 yards away.

i did see a pre-receiver solution months ago on some website. it was only for SD though. and it was quite pricey. like 500-600 if i remember right.

You can modulate RF but if you're on a TV larger than about 20", I doubt you'll like it. Or let me say I know I would NOT like it. :cool:

Neither Direct or Dish have any type of wireless receiver.
The antenna was for the remote since Dish has Dual tuner receivers they diaplex to another TV.
Everything is still connected with wires.

I have tried one of those AV senders and it didn't work.
It was a cheaper unit though.
Keep in mind though it will not carry high def at all.

There is always a way to get a wire there even in a bank vault.
The question is either will you like it when it is done or how much do you want to spend?
Don't expect most techs to do it though if it is beyond normal wall fishing.
Most just don't carry the tools to do difficult ones as we just don't have the time nor can we charge enough to make it worth while.

So, why is this one so impossible?

I'm getting fabulous picture on Ch. 148 4k, but zero audio with H713. This is with a recorded show (Notre Dame game). Anyone else have this? Audio is fine on every other channel.

It's a known issue.
For a temporary fix, go into the menu, Audio, and turn Dolby Audio "OFF". You will have PCM stereo audio.

I was able to give the tech ops team some data logs so they could diagnose the problem, and they rolled me back to H708 temporarily. It fixed that issue.

They let me know that they understand what caused the issue, and it will be fixed within a few weeks in a new update.

I guess they will be busy when lots of people start asking for rollbacks to H708 now that you mention that downgrades of software does exist because it will likely fix the OTA Single Tuner and the IR Remote problems in H710-H713.

The future of Stargate is in question today, as SCI FI Channel has cancelled the long-running Stargate SG-1, Multichannel News reported today and a GateWorld source has confirmed. The news regrettably follows the airing of the show's milestone two-hundredth episode on Friday.

Stargate Atlantis, meanwhile, has been renewed for a fourth season, with the network hoping to see that the spin-off series can stand alone, according to a source.

Well, there are a couple involving the Antarctic. "Solitudes", S1 E17 (one of my favorites), Then, "Lost City', S7 E21 and E22. Then, in the SGA pilot, "Rising", S1 E1 and E2, it starts out in the Antarctic for about the first 20 minutes or so.

If I understand your question, O'Neill had the Ancient's knowledge in the "Lost City" two-part episode. That was when Anubis attacked Earth and there was a big battle over Antarctica.
