Hello Everybody
, i'm a new member to the site. We've had dishnetwork for a little over a year now, and i still can't see why we stuck with local cable for sooo long hehe. The truth is we were unsure how it would perform during storms and things like that, but so far we've had alot of storms and the reception has only gone out for 5 min. here and there. We use spray de-icer on the dish when the ice builds up during the winter-it works like a charm .
i've looked around a bit for a site that shows what kind of content is shown on some of the channels(most are self explanatory or maybe im just familiar with them). I just hate to waste time watching a channel to see what its about only to find that its something i dont like, and then a month later forget what type of programming it was. I did a search for "channel content" on here but didnt see anything like what i was looking for. Does anyone know of a place that has this kind of information?
thanks.

Thanks for the quick replies and suggestions, i had started to write some notes on my "quick reference guide", but it was a little tedious and i didnt want to re-invent the wheel so to speak. I'll definitly check out the dishnetwork site DOH! hehe and the individual channel sites and spread my note taking out over time, and maybe it wont seem so bad .
tampa8, yea ive been kicking myself over waiting so long, i could have atleast tested it out lol, DN is alot cheaper and offers a wider selection too.......its just a win win.
thanks again.

yes i love the favorites lists too, i've got mine, she has hers, and we have movie channels on a third, but in 6 months or a year i'd still like to know why i decided not to add a channel-when i forget what its about .

Cutting Edge
Sometimes a thread gets so many posts in it that is can cause issues for the server so that why today we introduce The Song Name Game Part 3!
So let the game continue!
The last song was added by Bobby who posted...
One Meat Ball - Andrews Sisters
CONTINUE ON AND HAVE FUN! WELCOME HOME TO SATELLITEGUYS.US!
Here are the original rules for the game as posted by WebbyDude back in 2006. http://www.satelliteguys.us/threads/68645-Song-Name-Game
Just name a song title and the band who performed it. The next person does the same thing, but needs to list a song title or band name which includes a word from the previous entry. Pick songs from any genre.
Example:
Long Live Rock and Roll -- Rainbow
Rainbow in the Dark -- Dio
Another example:
Ride the Lightning -- Metallica
Lightning Strikes -- Ozzy Osbourne
Get it?
An additional note: we all know that song titles, sometimes, use profane words. Because this is a family friendly website it is advised that you clean up that title up a bit. This is accomplished by using something like sh!t instead of the real word. Thanks....

You can order direct from starlink online or from an authorized retailer.
Not at all like the special equipment needed for a satellite install.
Thank you Nelson,
Yes, I fully agree. I can install it with my teeth, and both hands tied behind my back...but this installation is for a commercial user that will not do it themselves, and myself, Im overseas...
But it looks like that we managed to find someone who can drive there for the work.
Thank you

Personally, I tend to be the type that drives a vehicle for a lot of years....do my own oil changes and other fluid changes. Just replaced the spark plugs and a couple coils. Youtube is great for things like this.

This should hit a lot of folks with a dose of reality. I can only imagine how much more common this will get as AI progresses.
I read several stories on this and most are clear as mud. They say a lot of the stolen bitcoin has been "locked out" and that everyone will be made financially whole. I guess time will tell if either of these statements are actually true.

Tony as the director.
Would you rather have LaRoche ???Tony as the director.
No. Bring in someone new.
Tony is not serious enough for me. Parker is too close to the team and Tim is too young to take over IMO.
I don't think Tim and Tony are that far apart in Age ...No. Bring in someone new.
Remember what Tony said to Tim when they first got back together ...
Tony said: I am the New Tony, Tim .... (something to that effect)
Tony has changed, he's been running his Security Business ... I'm sure he has grown up.
Give it time ... your judging the New Tony from the old Tony.
It sounds like Tim won't be around the Team much longer either.
