722 pixelation and complete signal loss

I've been having pixelation and signal loss on my 722, meanwhile my 211 upstairs is working fine for my wife at the same time. I had the 722 replaced 2 months ago. Still the same problem. I went around and checked all the connections. I did notice some thing that I think is not right. The dual grounding block is pretty hot, not lukewarm, hot. I'm going to take a stab in the dark, is it a bad LNB? Anybody every see this before?

I have already tried moving the boxes back an forth. The fact that the grounding block is getting hot, kinda implies that there is a lot of current flowing on it. The only current that can be flowing is the DC bias for the LNB. I am wondering if maybe water has gotten inside one of the LNBs. All the wiring in the house is good. I don't recall the block getting hot before.

Do NOT touch any of the wiring, do NOT touch the ground block or the ground wire. Make the tech aware of a possible electrical issue as it could be very hazardous to his or her health.

1 of 2 things it can be. 1. the LNB is bad and producing too much current. I have had over 100 volts surge through my arm from a shorted LNB. 2. ground problem at the outlet you are using. a bad ground at an outlet or at the service panel can route dangerous voltage through the ground block. As said before..do not mess with it because you could receive a serious shock.

Thanks for all the replies and to Zacj for setting my appointment. The tech came out to the house this morning. I showed him how the grounding block was getting warm. I appers that water has neen getting down the cable and corroding the insdie of the grounding block. Water had gotten all the way down to my Monster power conditioner. He replaced the cables Everything is looking good again. Thanks again everyone. This is the perfect example of why I have Dish Network and not Charter! Great service!

At least 64 dead in Spanish passenger train collision

Terrible tragedy. You would think that they would have safe guards in place that would prevent something like this from happening. I guess if you are going to ride in a passenger train it might be best to get a car near the rear.

That goes for a lot of people. I've been advertising on radio for more than a decade now and am very familiar with this subject. While it is still a valuable tool, it has far less impact than it did just a few years ago. The best reaction I get is from a local Country music station....they play a mix of older and newer music and have a very big footprint.

No, just regular FM stations. One is the country station I mentioned and the other is a Talk Radio station which used to get fantastic results but honestly, since the death of Rush Limbaugh, talk radio just doesn't do as well. There were two guys who had an early morning show which was hugely popular here in the southeast but one of them retired a couple years ago and the show just doesn't garner the same numbers as it used to.

Both, and they just made it official with a multiyear deal that also includes TV Everywhere authentication for the DAZN app, and commercial distribution.

DIRECTV, the premier provider of digital television entertainment in the United States, and DAZN, the world's leading sports entertainment platform, today announced a new multi-year distribution agreement for local telecasts of Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, and San Antonio Spurs games for DIRECTV streaming, satellite, and U-verse customers in each team's respective NBA-designated home territories.

These DAZN telecasts will be available to DIRECTV customers who subscribe to the Choice or higher packages and to U-verse TV customers who subscribe to the U200 or higher package. Each of DAZN's team services provides live pregame, postgame, and in-game coverage for the respective team.

In the coming weeks, customers who receive access to these teams via DIRECTV will also be able to login to the DAZN platform at no additional cost using their DIRECTV login credentials.

This agreement also provides distribution rights to each of the five NBA teams to all of DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS' thousands of sports bars, restaurants, fitness clubs, and other commercial venues located within each team's respective region.
