The Flash Creator's Response To Fans Angered By Latest Episode http://www.cinemablend.com/televisi...se-Fans-Angered-By-Latest-Episode-132747.html
For every episode of comic book-based television there will be some audience members who welcome changes to the established canon with open arms, and some who become pissed as hell that TV producers would dare to mess with an aspect of a comic book classic. Such is the case with the most recent episode of CW's The Flash. Well, show creator Greg Berlanti has heard your cries and he has an answer for you: Notice how Greg Berlanti mentions that his version of Jay Garrick is "no reinvention" and we should "keep watching." This sounds a lot like there are some more Earth-1/Earth-2 shenanigans ahead that may give us an official, real, good guy version of Jay Garrick. Who knows, maybe that's who's in the mask in the cell in Zoom's lair. Hopefully it won't be long before we get the answer to that question. The Flash airs Tuesdays on The CW.

Flash Showrunner Says They'd Never Make Jay Garrick A Villain http://screenrant.com/flash-greg-berlanti-jay-garrick-villain/
Throughout its first two seasons The Flash has dealt with a handful of speedsters, all adapted from the DC Comics on which the entire show is based. Season 1 introduced Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) as The Flash as well as Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) as the Reverse-Flash. Meanwhile, season 2 saw the addition of Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) and Zoom as major players on the show, which also featured comic book speedster Trajectory (Allison Paige) in a one-off episode. However, in the back half of season 2, The Flash has unveiled the man behind the mask of Zoom to be "Hunter Zolomon a.k.a. Jay Garrick" and the most recent episode, 'Versus Zoom,' seemed to indicate that Jay Garrick was an identity either created or used by Hunter to escape his past as a serial killer. Some fans of the DC Comics, including veteran comic writer Mark Waid, took issue with the handling of Jay Garrick's legacy as the first Flash, prompting The Flash showrunner Greg Berlanti to respond. On Twitter [h/t ComicBook.com], Berlanti urged fans to keep watching the series as the mystery of Zoom, Hunter, and Jay unfolds in the second season:

The Biggest Problem With The Flash's Zoom http://www.cinemablend.com/television/Biggest-Problem-With-Flash-Zoom-133167.html
As viewers of The Flash, we're asked to suspend our disbelief for plenty of reasons, from Cisco having just the right gadget for any situation to the existence of time wraiths, but it's always easy to do when the show uses these logical leaps to drive the plot forward or add wrinkles to the already troublesome tasks that Team Flash take on. However, I don't think I can go on watching this show believing that Harrison Wells is the super-genius that everyone else champions him as, now that we know he's not smart enough to realize he's been hanging out with one of the most notorious (and podcast-worthy) killers his world had ever seen. And the same goes for the intelligence of anyone on Earth-2. Bunch of non-attentive bozos. The fact that "Versus Zoom" didn't mention the crossover with Supergirl was also a bummer, and we're also wondering why Hunter didn't just kill everyone in S.T.A.R. Labs after he was injected with Barry's speed, or why he didn't initially spend more time figuring out another and much less time-intensive method of extracting Barry's speed. And other things. But I digress, because even after all that mess with time remnants and orphanages, I'm still very damned interested to see how The Flash and Zoom's season-long battle will come to an end, and how it will change both of the worlds we've seen. Plus, it's possible some or all of the previously established problems will get reconciled in some way, which would be pretty fantastic. That said, all this Zoom business has me no longer quite as excited to see how the Man in the Iron Mask mystery is explained. But I'll be watching anyway. And you can, too, when The Flash airs on The CW every Tuesday night.

"THE FLASH": GIRDER RETURNS IN KEVIN SMITH-DIRECTED EPISODE http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/the-flash-girder-returns-in-kevin-smith-directed-episode
Girder is back in Central City, and this time there's no Flash to stop him. The CW has released the plot synopsis for "The Runaway Dinosaur," the Kevin Smith-directed episode of "The Flash," which finds Greg Finley reprising his role as Barry's high school bully."It may be my favorite thing I've ever directed," Smith said of the episode in an earlier interview. "I think this is hands-down the best directing job I've ever done. Just directing, like, I feel good and I've gotten some nice praise from upstairs. Sounds like I will be able to go back."

The Flash May Feature These 5 Supporting Characters http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Flash-Movie-May-Feature-5-Supporting-Characters-126637.html
While The Flash TV series continues on The CW, the DC Extended Universe is making strides towards seeing up their own version of the Scarlet Speedster. Moviegoers got their first taste of Ezra Miller's Barry Allen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and he'll team up with his fellow DC heroes in Justice League: Part One next year. Following that, he'll lead his own movie, and now we may know who will make up his supporting cast. With casting reportedly underway on The Flash, Heroic Hollywood has apparently obtained a breakdown of the information that's been sent to talent agencies regarding the five main supporting roles. It remains to be confirmed whether these characters will actually appear in the movie or if this breakdown refers simply to "types," but given Flash's mythology, seeing these folks appear wouldn't be the least bit surprising.

"THE FLASH'S" VIOLETT BEANE IS READY TO HIT THE FAST LANE AS JESSE QUICK http://www.comicbookresources.com/a...-is-ready-to-hit-the-fast-lane-as-jesse-quick
"The Flash's" roster of speedsters keeps growing, and while Earth-2 refugee Jesse Chambers has yet to display her of fleet-footedness onscreen, fans of the character's comic book incarnation know it's just a matter of time before Jesse Quick is racing through the streets of Central City.In the comics, Jesse's father is yet another speedster, Johnny Quick, a hero who's footsteps she races in after learning his secret equation that allows them both to tap into the Speed Force. And while actress Violett Beane's Jesse is the daughter of Earth-2's Harrison Wells, considering her father is the inventor of Velocity-9, a drug granting its user super speed, it's no wonder fans are asking when Beane will don a superhero suit rather than if she will.Ahead of tonight's episode, Beane spoke with CBR about the reasons for Jesse's return to Central City, whether she knows of the identity of Jesse's mother, and why she's excited at the prospect of getting her own supersuit in the near future..

The Flash's Last Few Episodes of Season 2 Will Blow Your Mind http://www.eonline.com/news/759741/the-flash-s-last-few-episodes-of-season-2-will-blow-your-mind
Honestly, if you're a fan of The Flash you're probably prepared to have your mind blown every week, but rest assured that the last few episodes of season two will not disappoint.Tuesday's episode, "Back to Normal," sees Barry fight his first metahuman since losing his speed (ya know, when Hunter Zolomon made him give up his speed force in exchange for Wally's life, and then kidnapped Caitlin instead).Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg describes the hour as a bit of a breather before things get REALLY crazy. "Barry and the team are dealing with the fact that Barry doesn't have his powers anymore," he explains.Kreisberg adds, "We've been at such a breakneck pace—I know the TV scheduling put a couple of arbitrary stops in there, but if you think about it, going from the Earth-2 saga to King Shark to the 'Trajectory' episode to the flashback episode to last week and all the revelations and Barry losing his speed, we've been pedal to the metal at a breakneck pace. This episode where Barry loses his powers was literally designed to slow everything down and let everybody catch their breath before the next four episodes."Of course, everything that follows is going to be insane. Duh. Just another Tuesday! One reveal is going to be particularly astonishing: the identity of the man in the iron mask trapped in Zoom's lair. Kreisberg won't actually tease anything about said revelation, only that "the answer is going to blow your minds. Honestly, the two things I am probably most proud of this season are Harry and the identity of the man in the mask."Got any theories?

8 Intriguing Theories About The Man In The Iron Mask's Identity In The Flash http://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/8-in...-man-in-the-iron-masks-identity-in-the-flash/
Introduced in the fourteenth episode of The Flash's second season, the identity of the Man in the Iron Mask has had everyone talking ever since. There are almost countless theories out there as to who it can be, but who are the most likely candidates? Well, there are a long list of possibilities, and not even the cast of the sehow knew his identity until they started shooting the finale.Teddy Sears (who plays Zoom in The CW series) recently promised that the reveal will be "very satisfying for the viewers," and expectations are now sky high for his unmasking to be a huge and shocking moment. So, with that in mind, we've sifted through all the clues and theories to come up with the eight most likely candidates for who he could be. When it comes to great twists and turns, The Flash always delivers, so chances are that whoever's beneath that mysterious mask is going to be a big name, and you can bet your life that it will end up being one of this lot…

The Flash: Tom Cavanagh Teases 'Crazy' Season 2 Finale http://screenrant.com/flash-season-2-finale-tom-cavanagh/
The Flash season 2 finale is coming up fast, which is more than can be said for Barry (Grant Gustin), who's been forced to fight evil metahumans without his speed. Though the team has been working diligently to keep their former speedster in the hero business, even enlisting some genius biochemistry help from Harry's daughter Jesse (Violett Beane), it's clear that Central City is in serious danger without The Flash.Season 2 episode 19, "Back to Normal", revealed Zoom's plan to return with Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) to Earth-1. In a prime example of "be careful what you wish for," Ms. Snow's desire to go back home has inspired Hunter (Teddy Sears) to conquer other Earths the way he's triumphed over his own. While some creative solutions can help hold off the average metahuman threat, Team Flash is going to have to make some bold choices in order to defeat their most powerful and violently ambitious enemy by the time the season 2 finale is done.In an interview on DC All Access, which you can watch below, actor Tom Cavanagh discusses upcoming season 2 episodes of The Flash, which includes his character Wells building to a second particle accelerator as part of the plan to take out Zoom. It's a seeming necessity to get Barry his speed back, but Cavanagh stresses the one big problem that all viewers will be thinking: that "the first one blowed up." Considering how far-reaching the fallout from the initial particle accelerator explosion has been, there's no understating the incredible risk Barry's taking with both himself and the rest of the world.

PISTONS and THUNDER are finally testing on the stream server. PISTONS is showing the Ion/Scripps Sports promo loop filler that their NHL and WNBA feeds have, THUNDER has a "You are watching Thunder+" slate

The Clippers still haven't officially announced their TV plans beyond 10 simulcasts on KTLA, but the NBA's FAQ for ClipperVision is now live. The CLIPPERS feed is currently showing a loop of their Hawaii preseason game.

The Heat still haven't announced their West Palm Beach or Fort Myers affiliates. Since WPLG is streaming the games for free via their app, I doubt we'll be seeing the return of WPLG on stream.

So far nothing testing for the Bucks, Magic, Hawks or Hornets.

Regarding the no sound bug when watching 4K HDR events or DVR recordings with Dolby set to ON:
I got rolled back to H708 last night after getting an email from the support team. It fixed the bug.

The email indicated that they believed they found the issue, and if the fix works, they would roll it out via an update in the coming weeks.

So... we should see that bug exterminated in the near future.

For quite a while now, people with a VIP211k have been losing their recordings on their activated external HDDs... even when there's nothing physically wrong with HDD. I believe this is an intentional and underhanded tactic that Dish is pulling in an attempt to force users away from the VIP211k.

They are obviously regretting that they ever let users have a "non-dvr" dvr in the first place. You would think they would be happy charging you a $40 one time fee... and then be happy letting the customer be the one responsible for HDD failures.

Dish clearly hates the 211k bitter-clingers. This recording deletion problem is intentional (IMO), and I think it is just one more tool that they are using. Hopper and a 2-year agreement... that's what they want you to have. Think about that... a 2-year agreement... with a company $30 Billion in debt (that's with a B). What happens when all that debt causes them to drop the channel that may have been your whole reason for having Dish in the first place? Guess who's stuck with a service that no longer suits their needs... for the remainder of the 2-year agreement.

On top of that, they don't want you to install it yourself. I purchased and installed all my equipment myself. That used to be common. Now, they lie to me and tell me that my dish must be updated to use a Hopper. Funny thing is... they don't even know what dish I have because they didn't install it, and I didn't tell them. If you ask what type of dish/LNBs the hopper needs... good luck getting an answer. All they know is that whatever you have needs to be upgraded by an installer.

It is quite apparent to me that they care much more about staying in their box, than they do working with the customer. That's too bad, because it hasn't always been that way. It's like they are totally unaware of the current business environment that they are trying to compete in.

I have been a customer since 2010. I will be cancelling my service before the next period. Yeah, I know, my $1,200 a year won't make a difference to them. It just seems like they have forgotten who needs who, especially when you consider the competition in today's streaming world. But hey, they will have succeed in forcing me off the 211k.

Actually, it is. A couple of people PMed me when I posted this, and when I asked for an address, they never responded. Then I just sort of let it go. Send me a PM to continue the discussion

Well, after nine months of being on pause, I finally figured out that I was wasting $5 a month. So I cancelled. For the first time since 2010, I no longer have a Dish account.

I do have to say that I did appreciate the account pause option. That just gives a person some time to see what the fallout of cancelling will be... without having to go all the way over the cliff first.

Since I never once had an "oh shoot, I need Dish Network for..." moment, the decision was a lot easier.

Funny enough, when I called to cancel (for real, not playing the pricing game), all of a sudden, they were offering me deals that I was told before that I couldn't get without changing out my VIP211k. Now, I could have had those specials with them just sending me a new card for the receiver. LOL!

Of course, my mind was already made up because of having not missed the service while on pause. That, and the fact that I bet the 211k still kills recordings.

All in all, I'm glad that I had Dish for all those years. I just outgrew the need, and they pressed the issue by deleting recordings. I would have eventually went this route without the deleted recordings issue. But, for sure, that did hasten the outcome.

I'll still pop in at this site from time to time. Believe it or not, I still have a C/Ku BUD that I intend on playing with again if life ever slows down.

Sometimes a thread gets so many posts in it that is can cause issues for the server so that why today we introduce The Song Name Game Part 3!

So let the game continue!

The last song was added by Bobby who posted...

One Meat Ball - Andrews Sisters

CONTINUE ON AND HAVE FUN! WELCOME HOME TO SATELLITEGUYS.US!

Here are the original rules for the game as posted by WebbyDude back in 2006. http://www.satelliteguys.us/threads/68645-Song-Name-Game

Just name a song title and the band who performed it. The next person does the same thing, but needs to list a song title or band name which includes a word from the previous entry. Pick songs from any genre.

Example:

Long Live Rock and Roll -- Rainbow

Rainbow in the Dark -- Dio

Another example:

Ride the Lightning -- Metallica

Lightning Strikes -- Ozzy Osbourne

Get it?

An additional note: we all know that song titles, sometimes, use profane words. Because this is a family friendly website it is advised that you clean up that title up a bit. This is accomplished by using something like sh!t instead of the real word. Thanks....

24 team playoff seems to be real close.

Are we really that far from a 64-team tournament?

The benefit of the 24 team playoff:
  • All the cartel teams that cartels want in playoff are in playoff
    • Independent of record too! Bonus.
  • MONEY!!!!! for the cartels.
  • I'm out of ideas.
Cons
  • Regular season really doesn't matter now other than the rivalry games
    • Top cartel teams can lose three games and still make the playoff
  • Going to start resting players?
    • The playoff is going to be *checks notes* several games!
    • Resting players could make games dumb.
    • Maybe even restrict NIL players from games played.
  • How much are streaming sub costs going up a month to pay for this?!

One of the pro's I see is in a year with so many undefeated teams they have a good chance of an opening. Few years back you had lower divisions that didnt get a shot. I love collage football and I have no problem with that addition.

We are in what week 5 now? Been two real good ranked games to watch.....Other than that top 25 teams are playing nothing.

This will be a SAD DAY when this passes ....

They complained the last year that we had a bunch of Blow Outs in the Playoffs ... heres an idea, lets Double the amount of teams and hope for Closer games ... ya right.

This never should have went past 8 teams, 10 at the most.

Now, I have heard that play in games are being talked about, such as #13 plays #24 and so forth, to cut the field down (why cut it down, just don't expand it.)
I'm not sure exactly how thats going to work out or if it was just someone talking.

They were also talking about starting the Season earlier ...

I really don't like the National Championship game being the end of January ... if the Semi Finals are over New Years, thats fine with the Championship game the next week.

It makes sense, however, I would want more types of restraints, so if one doesn't work, the other does ... the restraints coming over the shoulder I would have expected ... with a Seat belt as last resort.

Fwiw, I inquired with what they use on Coasters at Cedar Point, various Coasters, different restraints according to what the car and track requires ...

NONE of the Coasters at CP use THAT particular system :)
I'm glad to see ...

According to the article, when you see a seat belt on a ride like this, it is basically used as a way of making sure the rider isn't too large/fat to safely ride the ride.

Well, the over the shoulder support is better, but would require reconfiguring the cars.

Heres an article from the Akron Beacon ... seeing Six Flags has bought Cedar Point and Kings Island, they are included ...
I said earlier that Cedar Point doesn't use this type of seat restraint ... well, it does use it, But the difference is, the ones up here ALSO have the Over the shoulder restraint as well ... like I was suggesting that they should have used with the Goliath.

One of the new(er) one at Cedar point the Gate Keeper, uses the Clam shell .. I have rode it many times and have Mostly felt secure, that ride will stop you part way on the ride and you just hang, till the ride is ready to continue ... I typically ride the Front Car ... when its getting ready, you ARE hanging, in the car, looking down .... it would require 2 separate restraint systems to unlock at the same time to possibly get out of it.

Selfish Drake Maye holds back on giving the ball to Bills unlike Jags game, gets the win on the road.

That image is so true - especially after that Giants/Commanders game yesterday.

Some tight games that went to the wire...

A big win for the Patriots, and they are now 3-2.

Browns lose a close one with... The Jets. That is a classic Browns loss (granted, any loss is a classic one it seems). 49'ers, Vikings, and Chiefs remain undefeated. The AFC north have a three way tie at 3-2 for second place.

Wasn't exactly sure where to post this. Just had a customer come in inquiring about internet. He has HughesNet and had heard good things about mine. He asked if we provided email addresses and it kinda caught me off guard. I said he should be able to keep whatever email he had been using....my sister in law is still using a BellSouth email addy and they haven't been around here for many years. He said he had gotten a letter from HughesNet stating that they had until Nov 16th to save, move, forward, whatever, their Hughesnet emails because they would lose them after that date.

I have never heard of a company simply mass-deleting email accounts (the customer still has his HughesNet service). From what I understand, in the past, the company who was ditching their email service simply sold the customer base to a company like Google.

Anyone else getting this letter. He said he would show it to me tomorrow when I go out there and set up his internet.

Doing a Google of the HughesNet Email notice, it seems that HughesNet has been trying to eliminate hosting emails since 2019. And with HughesNet filing Chapter 11 back in August, it would be a smart move to switch to a more stable Email provider. Even AT&T farmed out their Email to Yahoo! years ago.

SpaceX's Starlink and the Cellular 5G Home Internet solutions have pretty much relegated HughesNet and its high latency, low bandwidth Internet service to History. If Earth had shorter days, maybe a Geostationary Internet Solution might have stood a fighting chance…

Well, I helped him set up a gmail acct....I actually wanted to see what the new process is for setting up a gmail acct since it had been years since I set mine up. Anyway, I showed him how to forward the emails he wanted to keep over.

Among my many email accounts I still have a .netscape.net which AOL assimilated a while back.

You don't like Tony, or Tony as the Director (he's only been there for 30 seconds now) or you don't like NCIS ?
