Echostar 15 is a Conus Plus utility outfielder. It's been moved around since its launch in 2010 and presently is located at the 61.5W slot as an in orbit spare.
Echostar has filed to place in active service on or about November 1, 2018 where it will either be supplementing or replacing the Conus transponders on Echostar 16

DISH's channel placement is weird to me. I understand the need to have increased signal strength at 61.5, but if they're moving satellites around up there, why not fix some channel locations in the process? For instance, I'm in Roanoke VA, in the eastern US.
My local channels only exist at 129... on the western arc. Because it totally makes sense to have a WA setup in the eastern US...
Also, the internationals -- I don't understand why they moved them to an exclusively FSS satellite.
I agree with Claude. I really think that the loss of 148 threw their distribution off-balance. Here With 61.5 and 148, you could have internationals mirrored on both arcs simultaneously, and locals could be spot-beamed to the satellite on the corresponding arc (east or west). In my opinion, they should have kept intl's on the DBS birds for simplicity's sake. I'm sure they've discussed re-expanding the western arc in the past, but if they wanted to, would there be a way to get a satellite to 148 (and beyond) or is it just not feasible? Just think how convenient it would be to at least have a satellite beyond 129 on the western arc. IDK, just something I thought about.

Sometimes a thread gets so many posts in it that is can cause issues for the server so that why today we introduce The Song Name Game Part 3!
So let the game continue!
The last song was added by Bobby who posted...
One Meat Ball - Andrews Sisters
CONTINUE ON AND HAVE FUN! WELCOME HOME TO SATELLITEGUYS.US!
Here are the original rules for the game as posted by WebbyDude back in 2006. http://www.satelliteguys.us/threads/68645-Song-Name-Game
Just name a song title and the band who performed it. The next person does the same thing, but needs to list a song title or band name which includes a word from the previous entry. Pick songs from any genre.
Example:
Long Live Rock and Roll -- Rainbow
Rainbow in the Dark -- Dio
Another example:
Ride the Lightning -- Metallica
Lightning Strikes -- Ozzy Osbourne
Get it?
An additional note: we all know that song titles, sometimes, use profane words. Because this is a family friendly website it is advised that you clean up that title up a bit. This is accomplished by using something like sh!t instead of the real word. Thanks....

You can order direct from starlink online or from an authorized retailer.
Not at all like the special equipment needed for a satellite install.
Thank you Nelson,
Yes, I fully agree. I can install it with my teeth, and both hands tied behind my back...but this installation is for a commercial user that will not do it themselves, and myself, Im overseas...
But it looks like that we managed to find someone who can drive there for the work.
Thank you

Personally, I tend to be the type that drives a vehicle for a lot of years....do my own oil changes and other fluid changes. Just replaced the spark plugs and a couple coils. Youtube is great for things like this.

This should hit a lot of folks with a dose of reality. I can only imagine how much more common this will get as AI progresses.
I read several stories on this and most are clear as mud. They say a lot of the stolen bitcoin has been "locked out" and that everyone will be made financially whole. I guess time will tell if either of these statements are actually true.

Tony as the director.
Would you rather have LaRoche ???Tony as the director.
No. Bring in someone new.
Tony is not serious enough for me. Parker is too close to the team and Tim is too young to take over IMO.
I don't think Tim and Tony are that far apart in Age ...No. Bring in someone new.
Remember what Tony said to Tim when they first got back together ...
Tony said: I am the New Tony, Tim .... (something to that effect)
Tony has changed, he's been running his Security Business ... I'm sure he has grown up.
Give it time ... your judging the New Tony from the old Tony.
It sounds like Tim won't be around the Team much longer either.
