they are disabled in the uplink thread...they were causing issues

They are turned off in the Uplink Forum as it screws up the automation software which posts the uplink reports.

I think they did but I never got the SuperBowl if I remember correctly. Just had the Dish HD slate all weekend long.

Perhaps an emergency backup in case of a large LiL outage. Plan to show just a slate, but having a ready channel to throw it on if the lose an uplink or a feed.

Who says they don't already have it for emergency situations of high rated events? Could be an element of the contract.
