Those will 8PSK compatible receivers will see those channels, those without the proper receiver will not see the channel, instead they will see their locals on another channel and also the info will tell them they need to call DISH for an equipment upgrade.

Providence, RI is a unique situation as its SD locals are on 61.5
Markets on Eastern Arc if there is a SD only version (for folks without HD) they are on 110, 119 or 129

So there are folks who are SD only who probably still have mixed arc (110, 119, 61.5)

So basically they have to upgrade. Hopefully Dish doesnt charge them to upgrade (I know when DIrectv moved SD markets to HD only they didnt charge folks)

They have done it before (with HD)

Not quite. 8PSK and HD aren't the same thing. Most of the MPEG2 SD receivers out there are 8PSK compatible. For instance, the 301 isn't 8PSK but the 311 is. Same with the 501,508,510. They were QPSK only, but the 522, 625, etc are 8PSK compatible.
