Easy, 1000.4 is a larger dish and sees 3 satellites wether EA or WA. 1000.2 is smaller than the 1000.4 and sees only the 61.5 and 72.7 birds on EA.

The 1000.4 WA was only installed for a short time. The .4 dish is a bit heavier and requires more strict mounting options. The .2 is easier to retrofit for upgrades as the .4 requires a heavier steel mast or struts on a standard mast. Most people with EA don't need the 77 bird so the .2 EA works fine only seeing 61.5 and 72. The WA configuration be it .2 or .4 sees 129/119/110.

1000.4 Eastern Arc is the only dish that works on the west coast. If you try picking up 61.5 and 72.7 with 1000.2 you will get in the lower 15's. With 1000.4 it goes up to the 40's. This is a viable option for those who can't hit the western arc due to location issues.
