1080i vs 720p

Ok, I don't really wanna start this age old argument again. However, would like to know what you guys prefer to run your 921's at and why? Just curious.

If it's like the 811 I'd think you'd want to run it in the program you're watching's output

I stay on 1080i as only espn is 780p for me, no ota... and when sun nite football was on i stayed on it ... with no side effects... occasionally check if things do not look right, mine has strayed to 480p on its own a couple of times or so...

I'm with Puss 'n Boots, match the output to the program format. Unless your display's converter is absolutely atrocious.

If you read what it says on the resolution selection screen. It's like this

480P - Check this if your TV is only capable of displaying 480P
720P - Check this if your TV is only capable of displaying 720P
1080i - Check this if your TV is capable of displaying 1080i


So that makes it sound as if your TV CAN run 1080i, then you should. Anywho, who do you know what resolution channels are outputing?

It's pretty simple

ABC, FOX, and ESPN = 720p
All others = 1080i
