129 & 61.5

Is there any way to make your satellite receiver see the HD channels on 61.5 instead of 129? I am looking at 4 satellites, w/ a dish 1000 and a 500 pointed at 61.5. The signal is not very good on 129 and want to know if you can force the receiver to see 61.5 which has a much better signal.

I read on another site that you put 61.5 on input 3 and 129 on input 4 of the switch. Then run a check switch.

If it doesn't take, unhook 129 (with 61.5 still plugged into input 3) and run a check switch. Then hook up 129 and run another check switch.

Never worked for me. Always favored 129. I just disconnected it.

On that note, how do you tell which Satellite a particular channel is coming from? I have 129 and 61.5 and would like to know.

Tune to the channel then Menu 6 - 1 - 1. You will see the sat and TP the channel is using.
