I have a 3 week old Vip 211 on L3.45 connected to a Dish1000 through a DPP44 switch. I was snooping around on 129 about midday, measuring signal strengths on TP's etc. (yes, I need to get a life).

I was watching signal strength on TP1 when it began to momentarily jump. The signal was running 63-64 then for a couple of seconds it would jump to 76-78 then go back to 63-34 for a while then jump to 76-78 for a second or two.

I turned on my 622 and set it to 129 TP1 and it was not jumping when the meter on the 211 did.

I watched this for about 10 minutes. It was mostly cloudy outside but the clouds were not heavy.

I looked at several other TP's with my 211 and none of them exhibited this characteristic.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

Aliens from the planet Zork have indeed established residence on Echostar 5 at 129. They have a penchant for Fox-Kansas City. Charlie's gonna make 'em get a green card. Ha Ha little green men, green card. get it?? Gotta go, the state hospital people are here.
