Hi everyone !!!!

I was wondering if it's possible to use a 180cm (6'' feet) FortecStar dish for 2-way Broadband Satellite access ? is that dish capable of transmitting and receiving internet signal ? Could the 1 watt LNB from direcway fit on the holder ?
Does anybody have some technical information on the antenna's gain when transmitting signal.

Why are you trying? One thing with the Hughesnet in order for the system to be turned on it has to be done by a Hughes certified installer.

I do not think the newer type G5C or G5E LNB and the Transmitter will work. You will need an older LNB and Transmitter to work and then it may be a long shot.

The first is the newer ODU which more than likley will not work.

The next is the olderstyle that may work.

The reason why is the olderstyle can be skewed @ the LNB.

Thanks Tate for replying, I am just trying because the signal strenght is too low, the system (0.74m dish, dw6000 mdem, 1 watt LNB) has been installed outside the us (Perhaps the original .74 dish is too small).

Since I had bought a 6'' FortecStar dish for TV sat reception, I was thinking of using it as a replacement of the original dish.

I have the LNB for residential service not those that are shown.

What Satellite are you on and what is your signal and Xpol?
