Good to see WUPA in HD in the Atlanta market. That completes the local lineup.

However, Dish has somehow got the channels mixed up. WUPA has the correct guide info, but is airing the Univision channel, and the Univision channel is showing the WUPA channel (both in HD). Anyone else in the Atlanta market getting this?

i am just glad that we got WYCCHD today and wishing for these two would go HD WCPX Channel 38 ION and WJYS Channel 62 IND.sorry i keep asking Iceberg i just wish Dish would add some more new HD Channels i know that Sundance HD is in testing and we are waiting for that to add that to our lineup.

here is a little info on WCPX Channel 38 ION in HD.

WCPX-TV is the Ion Television owned-and-operated television station in Chicago, Illinois. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 43 (or virtual channel 38.1 via PSIP) from a transmitter located atop the Willis Tower in the Chicago Loop. Owned by Ion Media Networks, WCPX-TV maintains studios located on Des Plaines and Van Buren Streets in the Loop. The station can also be seen on WOW!channel 12, RCN channel 13, and Comcast Xfinity and AT&T U-verse channel 38. There is a high definition feed offered on WOW! channel 208, Comcast Xfinity digital channel 238, RCN digital channel 615 and AT&T U-verse channel 1038.


As of April 2, 2009, WCPX officially started to broadcast Ion television programming in HD (720p).

As mentioned above, Ion will be a nationwide rollout; you've got some waiting on WJYS - it only broadcasts in 480i (no HD on it, so no HD WJYS from Dish...)
