So please, somebody 'splain this to me. Is there actually a good reason to continually move Fox Sports San Diego around, or do they do it because they have nothing else better to do? And if the former, why FSSD, as opposed to say, Root Sports Colorado?

because the DigiDish software still hasn't been fixed to hide this channel from the list of RSN that do the daily changes.
 
When there are no sports, the uplink is turned off. When they have a sports program, they uplink it to any unused transponder. They do this on all sports, so they do not have any recollection of what transponder they used yesterday or do they care.
