Hey guys long time no posts for me. my equimentt had been pretty much trouble free for 2 years. my contract just ran out on my last billing cycle. I'm spoiled. I had a long term deal with DirecTV and they jacked up the rpice and would not lower it if I signed up again so I made the swith to Dish 11/2019. fast forward to my next bill in 12/21 it jumped up $44.00 + a cycle. that is a pretty big jump I have a hopper and 4 joey receivers that run 5 tv's. On any given night probabluy four of the units are in use so the equipment that I have is what we use on a pretty consistent basis. I don't have any crazy premium programming I just have american top 250 and nothing else besides the receiver/DVR charges. Do they offer lowering your bill if you opt into another 2 year agreement? I have not called them I just got my statement today for my billing cycle in December. If they don't do I look back at DirecTv and see what they will off me? As always thanks in advance? :)

Curious have either of you guys done this curious as to what they do offer? no looking for the exact same deal I just got out of but a increase of less then $45.00 woul be great. if they off some kind of equipment updgrade in turn for a lower bill etc...

I called a week or so ago. Got $50 off a month for a year, 6 months of Dish movie pack at 50% off, 3 months of showtime and Starz for free. Got this for a 12 month commitment.
The nice lady at first looked up a 2 year agreement and could only get $10 off a month for that.... yeah, weird. lol...

Definitely call during the day to get an American customer service. This lady went above and beyond looking through things she could get me. Very appreciative of her effort.
Oh, this was with the America's 250 package.

Agree with pjsjeep. Understandably you have to commit to another 2 years to get a deal.Don't bother with normal CSR roulette at usual Dish number.
Not always 2 years. They have been giving people a nice discount with a 1-year commitment as Riverpilot posted. The last time I called, I asked said I'd go with 2 years if they gave me new customer rates and the woman I talked to did just that, although that was in 2017.

Contact loyalty at 1-866-974-0769.
Thanks for the #. My 2 yr contract is up in Jan. With the recent rate increase, I'm saving $35 a month. I'll see what they'll do for me. My current $136.14 ( AT250, Hopper 3 , 3 Joeys , locals , dish protect silver ) monthly charge a bit high, considering I'm thinking about switching to Fubo for $80 a month.

I'll call trhem during the week next week and see whatt hey have to say. The pace I got this system from deals with Direct as well and he said he can get a a nice deal for a 1 year contract If I switch BACK to Direct... Would be oh so easy if they just sent out a renweal deal to exsisting customer to lock in for 1 year or 2 year at a discounted rate instead of just jacking the price up and hope the customer doesn't get pissed off and drop them like a bad habit!

Don’t use DirecTV’s pricing when you call, use You Tube TV‘s pricing-$65 a month with no fees for boxes/DVR, you should get a better deal from Dish that way.

If you use DirecTV’s pricing, Dish will just say well the 2nd year is a lot more….which it is.

Since I helped spread the incorrect number by not double checking the original incorrect number I will now post the correct number.(888) 496-1260
You all are right, of course!!! the number seems to change as I have 3 of them and I gave the first one without looking down the list which is this one. So sorry for the wrong info. I did call 1260 in the spring and they gave me the exact same for same amount for 2 yr.

Got around to calling the revised # tonight Thank you JPSjeep It was an American I spoke with he was in Iowa of all palces and a Big Football fan too... So I got a $50.00 a month reduction on my Bill for a 1 year extension it doesn't protect from any rate increases over the year only catch.. they had another deal with a $20.00 ish savings that would lock the pirce in with no increase. I'll roll the dice and take the $50.00 a month for a year for a bigger savaings.. Dude called it a Cyber Monday deal But looks like other were offered the same deal as well .. I told him I didn't want to touch my programming and don't want anything Thrown in for X months and they I costs me X.. Just leave the programing as is and let the chips fall as they will.. I'll take it as it is right now my bill will be $5.00 less amonth then I was paying for the past 2 years :) So thank you again for the help guys You rock it! :):clapping:bow

I have had pretty much the same experience as the everyone here. This may be the time I leave and have been a very long time customer. I am going to call the number listed on this thread but does not look good for me or them. My bill has gone up $70 in 3 months. With no added value. In fact channels seem to drop regularly including sports. I have the hopper 3, three 4K joeys. Top 200 locals and sports my bill is currently $180 a month. As of this month. As of this that's an annual increase of $840 a year. Again with no added value. I will post back when things are done. Thanks for letting me vent. :)

Perhaps it might be better to be happy with a good run of lower cost, than to be unhappy about an increase you knew was coming.

$45/$60 increase is expensive over a 12 year course of billing. evreything goes up but my Pay and everyone else's They never tell you what the evnetual increase is going to be or even hit at it we all know it's going to go up but not that much. I'm happy with the resolution I got. :)

I don't know if it will help you but we went firestick instead of joey. But we only have 1 additional tv not three so not sure if that works if all are in use at same time.Maybe someone will chime in.Point is it will save the monthly fee for the joeys.Yes you would have a one time outlay for the firesticks.
Curious-how much extra are you paying for what sports in particular?
Yes call the number!

They shouldn’t have to. The website clearly shows what their regular rates are. A logical assumption would be if I’m not getting the contract rate I’m going to be paying the regular rate!

You can only use/watch one firestick at a time.
