As it is, I think Louisville is screwed unless Clempson manages to lose to Wake Forest, allowing Louisville to play for the ACC championship.

If Washington wins the Pac12 Championship games, they'll leapfrog Lousiville.

And I think the same is true for the Wisconsin-Penn St winner of the Big Ten Championship game if Ohio St beats Michigan, since they'll want to justify a non-conference champ being there by including the conference champ as well.
So you think that if Wisconsin wins the Big Ten, which they very well may, that they will move into the top 4 and Ohio State currently ranked #2, if they win out they will be moved OUT of the top 4 ?
I don't see that happening.

I could see Wisconsin and Ohio State making the top 4 though I think thats a reach as they would be eliminating 2 other conferences, potentially.

Louisville is in the same spot as OSU as far as that goes, except that OSU is ranked higher than them.

I can see the winner of the OSU and Michigan making it while the loser drops out.
Probably the same will happen with Louisville and Clemson.

On ESPN2 we have MacAction ...
Ball State playing Toledo in the Glass Bowl ... ummm, make that the FOG bowl.
The fog has rolled in tonight, much like last night and you have a hard time seeing whats going on, on the field.
If you were looking to the sidelines for signals, good luck.

2nd half coming up soon ... Kick off and Punt returns will be intersting

I quit following the rankings. Just want to watch the games that interest me without all the spin from the announcers and networks. It's becoming as bad as the NFL.
They like to make the rules up as they go, but they have harped on that extra data point of a conference championship. If it plays out with Wisconsin/Penn St in the Big Ten title game, then they would jump Ohio St or Michigan if they follow the precedent they have set.

Problem is, they have no rules, they change them to fit thier thinking each week.

This is no different than the computers really .... the computers will only give you the info that it has been fed, so they could manipulate them as well.
Now we have a group of what is there 12 people, as long as thier teams are playing well, they can make whoever they want in the playoffs, as long as its reasonable.

It still comes down to teams playing well and the opinion of others.

No, I see Michigan dropping out and Wisconsin taking their place, therefore resulting in both Ohio St. and Wisconsin being in the top 4. The inclusion of Big Ten Champion Wisconsin allows the committee to justify non-champion Ohio St.

The result being that Louisville doesn't get in, as those 2, Alabama & Clempson are taking all the open spots.

Sadly I pull for VT to make it to the ACC Title game - win and knock Clemson out of the playoff but that would mean LV could go as a team that didn't win its conference which is BS IMO. You should not go to the playoff if you can't even win your conference.

Now my next issue - the damn ACC Title game got moved to Florida cause someone can't keep politics out of football so this hurts a ton of VT fans. I was talking to a bunch last weekend and they said they could have made the trip to Greensboro but not Florida - just not enough flights in and out the day of or before/after and the prices are just way too high. Its a damn shame they can't just have left it where it was and kept politics out of it.
THEN if VT wins - they will get the Orange bowl bowl which is BACK IN DAMN FLORIDA!!!!!! :oldmad
Add to that the Orange bowl being on the 30th so right in the middle of holiday traveling.... what a crock!

Ok, that makes more sense.

It likely wouldn't play out this way before the game tonight, but now it's looking even less likely.

What a game Louisville is playing .... they are the team that said they wanted to make a statement tonight to the Playoff committee and the other teams ...
Yup, just short of halftime and they have definitely made a STATEMENT ... trailing so far 31-0.

Well a sh*t ND team is spanking my VT team... getting rather sicking to watch them turn the ball over yet again.. all 3 losses were where all our turn overs came from and its happening again. Tired of pulling for them in a game they don't try themselves.
