Why this is as good a time as any to reconsider conference realignment

The coronavirus pandemic has altered every sports calendar, and for good reason. The unprecedented reaction in college football has also exposed (again) why conference realignment makes no sense in the sport.

Kind of what I thought. Setup some regional matchups that would limit travel and worry about conference games and titles next year.

Every time the re align, they add MORE and More teams to said Conference ...

I think 14 teams in a conference is just way too many, I know, theres Conferences with even more than that .... ugh.

What conferences have even more than that in football. At least at the highest level?

ACC if you count ND, but even though they normally play some of the schools, they aren’t really in it at the football level.

I was thinking the SEC had more than 14, maybe they were talking about it .

After looking, 14 is the top amount, so far.
