21.1 Remote problems

I have a VIP 722 DVR and a 21.1 remote. the remote has started getting troublesome. The guide is very hard to bring up and also the pause. Most of the other keys seem to be ok. I replaced the batteries and no improvement. Can I use contact cleaner on those buttons or is it new remote time.

Contact DISH and they will replace it, free of charge.
