I ordered a VPI 622, to replace my 921. Fine. Yesterday I read a post about getting a 2nd receiver upgrade. I called and they agreed to let me upgrade my 811 to a 211. Then the problems started. I turned on my TV and they had shut off my HD channels between 6420 and 6424 and all my Voom channels. I called and was told it was because they switched me to a new HD package, which won't worrk until the new receivers are active. So for 11 days, until the install, I won't get that HD programing. UFB!

You got hosed. They're capable of keeping your programming at the same package up to the time the new receivers are activated. Complain to ceo@echostar.com
Yeah hosed is a good way of putting it, but I would also call them and ask for a refund on programing you wont be able to view for the alloted time, it's only fair.

I feel your pain. I do have two questions, though:
1) Is your 811 a leased or owned unit?
2) If owned, are they requiring you to return it?
I'm going to try this with my 6000. The CSR I talked to on the 1st wouldn't let me upgrade two at the same time.

Sorry clapple I put that post in a few days ago to try to inform the forum that I got a second vip. Their computers are allowing this now. My 811 is still working until I get the 211.
