That was a few weeks ago, although more is coming. :)
I think this is what TheKrell was asking about:

Ok here is what I know or am hearing. It may or may not be correct but I am telling you what I know.
. . . .
6) There is a huge channel / transponder swap scheduled for 3/27 which will reshuffle many channels on 129, 110, 119, 72.7, 61.5 and 118.7. While not confirmed I am hearing when they move the channels they are moving them new more efficiant encoders which not only provide as good or better PQ but use less bandwidth. The compressing technology keeps improving every day and DISH is investing a lot by constantly upgrading their encoders. This will open up more space.

I missed the call in show, what did he ask on there?I'm guessing that's also a rhetorical question.

I miss the discussion about channels moving. Where was this posted about originally? Any idea what channels will be moving or swapping where? I'm blind, so this info is important to me so I know where to watch things.

The moves of these channels should not affect the channel numbers you enter when changing channels. The channel map captured by Scott's uplink computer is what goes to your receiver to make this transparent.

Is this why 9904, which used to be 40s on 4 (and holiday), is now playing Billy Joel all day?

Was that a joke, or are you simply not paying attention in the SiriusXM part of the forum?

Reading between the lines of Scott's gut, I think I know what will come of all these channel transponder moves...

If they're switching encoders, I hope it clears up this crap on SyFy HD and MTV HD that nobody seems to be doing anything about.

Yea they seem to have forgotten about us Jim.I can live with it,but it would be nice for Dish to at least acknowledge they are looking into it.
