Is there a channel, like DTV has, that will show me at a glance what (baseball) games are on that night and time?

Also, with a 322 receiver, is there a way to override the 'screensaver' that always first shows when the television is powered on that states, "press select to continue"?

Finally, I pay my bill thru ATT, and even tho DISH has my email addy I only seem to find out channel changes, etc thru satelliteguys but sometimes that doesnt seem to keep me up to snuff with news I could use. What's the 'secret'??

Thanks.

NO

Setup an autotune timer for both TV1 & TV2 at about an hour past the update time to be tuned to the channel you want it to be on, Also make sure the inactivity timeout is set to none/disable (not sure of exact wording)

You are coming to the best place for channel update info and news. DISH is the absolute last place to expect to get any info.

If you want any ease with your Dish account unbundle it from ATT now. Bundling can be nice, but if you ever want to make any changes to your account or want to upgrade it can be a huge pain. We have nothing but problems with our telco provider here.

No on the channel like directv. No on the screen saver. No on the email dish does not email you when they change channels or add new channels so basically NO.

if you had a DVR you could set a timer to tune to a certain channel in the morning and of course turn off the sleep mode

the 322 prob cant do that though

favorites

Can you make a favorites list on the 322? If it is possible then just make 1 that has all the chs that usually run BB. Then call that up whenever you want to page thru it.

OK guys, thanks for the responses and here goes:

The receiver is never really turned off from tv1 and this obviously happens on both 1&2.

Not aware of 'auto-tune' on a 322 and there is no inactivity setting option like on my 722

yep, no way to set a 'timer' on this 322 either

whatchel...unsure of what you are saying: If it is possible then just make 1 that has all the chs that usually run BB. Then call that up whenever you want to page thru it.
What is BB?

(TV2 my wife turns on when she hits the hay and TV1 is rarely used but this screensaver thingy is an irritation of the day :()

Thanks for your patience in this matter.

BB = BaseBall
Make fav list and call it sports or baseball or BB what makes sense to you. Then you can bring up that list to find the games.

the 322 can do timers. I set a couple on my dad's 322 to test it out :)
there is no rhyme/reason as to when the tv(s) of the 322 are used but I did set a 'reminder' for a channel for noon today and about about 12:30 turned the set on and the screen saver was there so that did not help the problem

I think on TV2 you cant turn off that screensaver thing

TV1 works normal if powered off. You get fuzz (if on coax) or black screen if on a/v cables

Yeah, got the blue screen.
So, it appears that it is still an extra step approach to watching on the 322. Either hit 'select' to turn off the screen saver or turn power back on AGAIN to the 322 to do away with the blue screen before you can view the channel. I am resigning myself to the fact that the 322 box was limited.
