Why does my Hopper reboot at 3:30pm?

I have the setting set to 4:00am, yet almost everyday it wants to reboot at about 3:30pm! This is fairly new as it never used to do this, I am on H395 updated on 6/10/25 at 3:45PM (time a coincidence?)

If someone is watching TV, leaving Netflix on overnight, a timer is firing, etc., it can cause the delay. You're welcome to send me your RCAID (Rxxxxxxx in Diagnostics) via PM and I can take a look.

We pulled logs from the box and nothing stands out. Per your DVR schedule, it's not timers. Are the Joeys left on Live TV, Netflix, other apps, etc. during the chosen 4AM update time?

We've talked about this previously, but your setup is not what we consider to be an approved install, due to the amount of Hopper Internet Connectors you have. There are errors every day, for as long as I can see back, showing that there is more than one DHCP server on your home network. This will cause issues.

Sometimes things work for awhile, then won't, due to software changes. If you need help getting your install to an approved state, I'm happy to help.

With your remote press Home twice, go to Power and bring up the Power Settings Screen. Take a picture of that screen and post it here.

This started with the installation of the 2 Joey 4's. The joey's do not shut off when the power button is pressed, it does shut off my TV and receiver, the joey power light is always on.

larryk,
Do you have multiple Wi-Fi Routers by any chance? DHCP plays by "Highlander Rules": there can only be one. If both routers also have DHCP enabled by default, that can cause Local Area Network problems, especially if the Hopper 3 IPv4 address bounces around between reservations.

You should be able to go into the secondary Wi-Fi routers and disable DHCP (or set them to Bridge mode).

I have one wifi router, and one access point on the far side of the house. I use static IP's for dish equip.

It seems that the reboot time is daily at 3:35 - 3:40 pm, 11.5 hours after the 4am set time. I am going to set it to 4:00pm and see what happens...

New Hopper Plus and Joey 4s have major flaw at release
