330A scans more TP's than programed

I was scanning what I thought was 119 and only had 4 transponders programed to scan but my 330A scanned almost 30 TP's, why is that and how did it know what TP's might be there?
Turns out I found 110 I guess because there is a GOL channel. Maybe I need a new compass.
 
Actually I've noticed the same thing with the 2500A. I think it was even an EchoStar satellite but it was one of their Ku FSS only, non DBS satellites.
 
The 330A does not have blind scan so it must be picking up a signal making it aware of TP info for that satellite? Maybe?
It seemed to only add TP's that were good even if they only had encrypted channels.
I finally found 119 as soon as I pulled my head out of my rear, of course since I was finding 110 I needed to lower the elevation then it was no problem.
