I noticed that Dish will show the Super Bowl pregame and the Super Bowl in 4K HDR on both channels 540-01 and 540-02. I wonder what the difference will be between the two broadcasts.

I have no idea. When I loaded those onto the no discussion thread I wondered the same thing.

My FOX is in dispute so will be watching OTA. Do look forward to your report on it though if you check it out.

You may find that the 4K 540-0x channels are still available as they aren’t coming from your local broadcaster. :nana It’s worth checking out.

Still should be able to see it. FOX is making it available to all even online in 4K with no subscription required.

This may be actually something I would like to watch. I hate the Eagles and I live close to KC now. But it would have been better if Cincinnati was in it instead of KC (Joe Burrow/LSU reason).

I set up my timer for the Super Bowl on my Hopper 3. I just checked my 4K Joey and there’s nada on Sunday during the Super Bowl. There’s a 540-03 channel in the guide (Off Air) but no other 540 channels.

The 4K Joey doesn't do -01 or -02 because they are HDR channels and the 4K Joey seems to have some difficulty with HDR. I am not sure what the -03 channel is for at this point but it's been there for many weks.

It’s there just to taunt us 4K Joeys users…

It looks like 540-01 and 540-02 have identical programming. Perhaps it may change for the actual game. Otherwise I don’t understand why Dish would have it on both channels.

Compared the 4K HDR broadcast on 540-01 with the 1080i broadcast on Dish Fox 28 and the 4K HDR picture is darker. Also compared the Fox 6.3 broadcast which is 720P. The 6.3 local broadcast picture (720P) looked identical to the Dish Fox 28 (1080i) picture.
These comparisons were done on my Sony XBR65X900E TV.

The lip sync looks ok to me. I am using Dolby Digital on my Onkyo receiver which is connected by Toslink optical to my TV.

That's my setup as well. I changed channels out and back to 540 and it's back to normal now.

Can’t really hear the black keys without turning up the volume.

The lip sync seems to come and go.

Looking at some posts on Facebook I see others having lip sync issues as well.

Not sure why I can barely hear the live music when I hear the commentators and all the commercials fine.
