No need to be sorry. My post wasn't negative to you by any means. I used the quotations around dispute because I am not sure if that is exactly what Dish or/and AMC Networks are calling it. If I had to guess, that is what the channel will be. We'll see when (or if) it becomes available.

What they should do is put NHL Net on 150 and Speed on 157, then
151 could be MLB Alt and 149 could be NHL Alt

There is also an NHL alternate channel on 5448 in SD and 5449 in HD while the MLB alternate channel is on 5450 in SD and 5451 in HD.

I wonder if Dish will make room for both alternate channels as that would probably make the most sense although I do not understand the movements to the 100s fully as their are still sports channels in the 300s, 400s, etc.

I really just mashed up several posts on the topic from the last few months, and this uplinked report. Unfair to pass it off as an original idea.

Or take away one of the useless ESPN Alts and move Speed to that number and NHL Net to 150. Then also add an NBA Alt on 157, with my previous suggestion.

I was actually surprised to see a few basketball games on them some weeks ago (really cannot remember how long ago).

Could do that too. But I think people like knowing that a specific space is reserved for that league's alt channel. That way we don't have the same mess as the 440s.

why not just map the alternate down (just like HD mapping)
