5 lnb vs. 3 lnb

I live in NY on Long Island. I presently have the 3 lnb dish with the H20.

Directv called me today and offered me the 5 lnb dish for free.

Will I get any additional channels in NY with the 5 lnb?

I already get locals in HD.

No, but you will be set for the future for when new HD channels are placed of the 99 and 103 sats.


EDIT: I think you will receive your local sports net (New Yorks Sports Channel) in HD with the new dish.

There are some considerations you may want to make, such as, do you diplex OTA with your 3lnb?

If so, you will have to dump the diplexing system once your AT9 is utilized to it's full operational capacity, otherwise, if you do not have OTA diplexed, then this point is academic, that being said, eventually, you will need the AT9 anyway, so why not get it free?

Get it...If for no other reason, it looks cool, I thought the Phase 3 was neat until i saw the AT-9
