5 Satellite Locations Possible?

Hi all,
I am really just asking out of curiosity, but is it possible to have more than 4 orbital locations on a dish network install? I have a DP44 out there right now, and I installed all my dishes myself, I'm just curious if adding another dish is possible with dish network, from what I've researched, Dish doesn't have any hardware which they supply, but maybe there's some third party device out there. My receiver (ViP Slingloaded 922) appears to have an additional slot for another bird in the switch configuration menu.

Yes you can. You need a DP21 for EACH tuner & you cannot use a separater.

to say they do? The only reason I could see it

D1000+ (there's 4 slots) and they have locals on a EA slot and still have some old MPEG2 equipment in the bunch and dont want to upgrade all the equipment

I can see a reason for 5 if you want to get technical

77 -- If your locals are there
110 -- Distants HD
118 -- sub to internationals
119 -- Distants SD
129 -- HD

I have the above setup because I have distants in SD and HD, sub to Eurochannel. Plus I'm a "mover" and take advantage of the locals on 77.

Ancient thread from 9 years ago showing it done with photos... I did it just to do it back then...

Also as noted in the thread you cannot use the DPP separator, for dual tuner boxes you have to run 2 lines each with their own DP21 switch connected to the DPP44 and other dish.
