50.0 Remote - How To Program Shortcut Button??

Hi,

Can't seem to find any mention on how to program the shortcut button - #22 on pg 4 of the manual. Anyone know how to do it? I want to use it to turn cc on and off, but now it just starts a recording.

On your 50 remote, to get CC on or off, simply press Options and then 2. That will turn them on and off. You can also turn them on and off with the voice option. Press the voice button and say "closed captions on, or off" and they will go on or off...

Just press the mic button and say "closed captions on(or off)"

The shortcut button is NOT programmable at this time, knowing DISH it may never be.

Thanks, but I thought that the shortcut button could be programmed. In the manual it says "Create and initiate a personalized shortcut" - just wondering how to do that.

It may have been a shortcut button initially, but I don't believe it is anymore. Now it's essentially a record/create timer button.

It currently is not programmable.
