522 Dvr

I still have my original system 301 receiver. Upgraded to a superdish last July and my contract term is up on July 14. I see new subscribers are getting a new DVR 522 to subscribe. Anyone have any luck convincing Dishnetwork to give them a new DVR 522 if they agree to another 1 year service contract?

Promotions seem to vary from CSR to CSR when you call. Typically you would pay an upgrade fee regarless but Dish does offer a "Dish'n it up" promotion so you could upgrade. Call the 888.add.dish number and see what they say.

Good luck. DISH will probably want you to pay upward of 150 bucks to upgrade. My offer was 149 w/ installation.

Since it really isn't "free", you might be able to get it. I am fairly certain it is still a leased unit.

its best to just buy one cause you can get one on ebay Brand New for $200 or Less , if dish wants to charge over $50 to lease one thats what I DID!
