522 eBay Receivers to NOT purchase

The following have high balances owed against them so you should stay away from these if you are thinking about purchasing them to activate on your account:

Item number:5760981480 ..... Has over $1,500 owed against it - Leased
Item number: 5761273882 ..... Has over $200 owed against it - Leased

People have currently bid a good bit for these. I feel sorry for them. If I find anymore I will post in this thread. Thanks.

Funny thing is as of tommorow people wont need to buy them on Ebay anymore since Dish is now allowing dealers to sell 322's and 522's to customers.

That second one is a bit bold. I guess he thinks that putting the receiver and smartcard numbers in the listing will get bidders to assume it's clean (and it's working).

Ya, but the second one only has a balance of $200 on it and it's going for $103.00 on Ebay right now. That STILL makes it a better deal than the $349.00 Dish wants for a 522 . Pretty funny.

I remember looking at that first one to buy on Ebay. A $1,500 balance? :shocked. I'm glad I decided not to buy because it was from Brooklyn. How the heck could you even get a balance that high? There's only so much porn out there.

Not a better deal, because Dish will refuse to activate something that was previously leased, even if you pay the balance.

Oh yea I forgot about that. Good point. That's the main reason I spent a little extra money and got a new 522 off Ebay.

FYI. Here
is the link to the seller I bought my 522 from on Ebay. He has new ones for $160 BIN. I advise against paying extra for Priority mail though as he just went ahead and shipped mine UPS Ground anyway . The 522 was just as he had advertised though, new in the box and it works fine. Well as fine as a 522 CAN work.

I cant remeber if it was over $200 or over $500. It didnt make much of a difference since both were leased.

Active on an account still and not deactivated. The guy that is selling it is in the same area of where the customer is located even though he states on his auction that he got it from an auction lot. Its a lease and belongs to SBC.

An eBay seller by the username of prosatguy has two receivers in which are not able to be activated. The first one is found at the following link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5761829146 and the item number is 5761829146 It is currently active on an account. The receiver number for it is R0066646975

The second receiver prosatguy says that he has for sale by the same user is an SBC leased receiver not able to be activated with the receiver number as follows: R0064757567
