Read Alas Babylon in high school and have watched On the Beach about 6 times over the years. A powerful story about what a "limited" nuclear war would be like , and the effects on the last humans left in Australia.

I read On The Beach in 1958 while I was in high school. Little did I know that, just a few years later, I would be very heavily invested in the nuclear program.
