huh? Local for Oklahoma but what is it?

There are 4 DMA's that are based in Oklahoma (the rest of OK are parts of other states DMA's)
OKC
Tulsa
Lawton (and Wichita Falls TX)
Ada, OK (and Sherman TX)

Well the changes needed for Dish DNS weren't there and this is business day 11 out 14 days for the DNS channels to be turned on. Since it appears that channel changes happen on Wednesday, Dish is not going to make its promise. What a shock.

Not in my account. I was told that I was approved on 5/23 and the channels should be alive in 10-14 business days.

The SD channels at 8000 and 8100 are already CONUS but not in my All Sub Guide.

The West Coast Los Angeles HD channels are still listed in the Channel List as Spot-Beam.

Really! ...from the other place....

Whoa....they're gonna carry east and west networks again?

They might be up on the satellites but they are not turned on.

From the eMail:
"[FONT=&quot]The NY Networks in Standard definition can be found on channels 8100-8120 and the High Definition of the NY Network broadcasts can be found on channels 6300-6304. LA Networks in Standard definition can be found on channels 8000-8025 and the High Definition of the Network broadcasts can be found on channels 6306-6317."

The 8000 and 8100 (SD East/West ) are already on 119.

6300-6304 are 61.5 as Spot-Beams. Follows rules for not receiving East Coast HD is the West.

6306-6317 are on 129 as Spot-Beams.

I just can't believe that DISH is doing all this for a half dozen rv'ers and truckers. I would think Charlie would maximize his investment and offer these to AAD, for a fee!!!, as well, since their rules are different. I know he'd gain some subscriber friends if he was able to do this.

BIG, REALLY BIG SPOTBEAMS!!!! that cover half the country...I doubt it.

This has been hashed out before. There are a lot more than a half dozen of us RVers, just not as big on complaining.

If I were trucking or rving I think it would make more sense to call in with an address at my rv/truck location to get the locals rather than NY or LA. I'd be interested in local weather and news, but I guess thats me. And, it would make more sense if all the channels were on 110-119...who's going to lug around 2 sets of dishes?

that has nothing to do with an uplink. If its 14 business days from the day you are approved its 14 biz days....they are turned on for your receiver just like if you called and ordered HBO. It gets turned on whenever
