61.5 Signal

My zip is 37919. When using satellite 61.5 with a DishPro LNB and 500 dish, what transponder should I use to check the signal strength and what would be a strong reading( on new meter)? LOS is perfect.

You don't say which receiver you're using. If it can demodulate 8PSK, then you're good to go on most low transponders (other than 4 which is dead). If you have an older QPSK receiver, then IIRC transponder 8 is the 1st one that isn't 8PSK.
