612 as standalone OTA

Dish problems, cable problems, LNB problems, cat problems...am having a bad week.

Before I figure out where my problem above problem is... can I use my 612 for OTA w/ DVR functions or does the receiver need its signal?
I've accessed the recordings in the past w/o a signal, but live OTA isnt something I tried.

No DVR functions, no OTA. You can normally access recorded material from the receiver hard drive, not from an EHD.
