622 and OTA

I understand that the standard 722k doesn't come with a digital OTA module (its extra). Does the 622 have a built-in digital OTA tuner?

Yes...one single OTA tuner.

The 622 and the 722 have a built in OTA tuner but not the 722K. The MT2 OTA module is separate but many have convinced E* to throw it in for free.

How do you convince them to throw in the OTA module? So what is the advantage of the "newer" 722k if it doesn't normally include the OTA module?

You ask nicely and see what they say. The advantage of the K with modules is you can record two OTA at once, and it will pass HD locals to TV2. Without it, no real advantage except for newer, learning remote and the ability to store timers and settings.
