622 blacking out

My DVR 622 has started blacking out once in awhile. While watching, it goes black, sometimes with voice, sometimes without. A few times there is a picture and no sound. I reboot it and it works for awhile but then starts up again.

I lease the system (started late July last year). Is anyone else experiencing the same problems?

I have a 622 no problems here. Are you sure something is not going on with your TV?

I was having that problem a few weeks ago. I had a computer sitting on top of it. Move the computer, make sure there is good airflow around it, now it works no problem. I suppose it was overheating, but now is doing fine.

Problem sounds like it could be either 1 of 3 things:

1) Cabling

2) Overheating

3) Receiver


If you are a DHPP customer, give Dish a call. They will troubleshoot it and send you a new receiver if that is what it ends up being.
