622 Dvr

I do not yet have Dish, but am familiar with cable and Directv. I see in the forum that a 622 receiver can control 2 TVs. Probably a dumb question, but can someone explain how this is done without a second box in the other room? Perhaps a Rube Goldberg series of mirrors out of the bedroom, down the hall and focused on the 622? Also, does this mean only one phone jack is needed?

The second TV is connected via a coax cable so it is only SD, not HD.

Think as is if the 622 as two receivers combined into one sealed box.

The box has two Sat tuners and one OTA. that is how you can view one program on one TV and another on the 2nd.

Or you can record three shows simultaneously (2 sat+1OTA) and view two different prerecorded shows on two tvs all at the same time.

The only not so great part is you cannot view an OTA show and record a different OTA show...
