I was just wondering if you can transfer anything that is recorded on the 622 to a laptop, so that it can be burned to a dvd?

You would need to capture it via some sort of capture system as you would any TV signal. I did a google on "laptop video capture" and this was near the top http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/data_usb.html

I would be interested in knowing if anyone has had any luck with this. I'd like to try it, but it's a lot of money to spend on a video capture device without knowing how well it will work.
