It's the HD version of AAC. You should be happy.

AAC Audio... very interesting...

If they used that they could drop the audio bandwith by 50% yet still offer the same quality (if not sliightly better) audio.

Probably not... but they could use it on PPV Movies, The Movie Channels etc...
