I hooked up an ethernet cable to my DVR 722 and in the Broadband menu I am getting and IP address and the DVR says that it is connected. However, when I go to web activation, it gives me the error message "activation failed. please try again later" it has been doing this for a month now.

when I log on to the dish website and go to Dish Remote access it says that the receiver is Offline.

I spent 4 hour with dish customer service and they said it is a router port issue and they could not help me.

is the router the problem? or is there another fix for this?
if it is the router porting issue how do I fix this?

thanks for your replys

Try to hook up your receiver to internet without the router. If this works then it is really the router issue.

I hooked up my 722 today, and it shows as being connected when I log on the dishnetwork's remote access site. But I am not able to pull up any program guide info at all under the grid, now, today and later tabs. The only thing that will pull up is shows that are already recorded on the dvr. Am I not doing something right to show the program info? Thanks for any help.
