722 needing daily reboot

i've had my 722 for almost 2 yrs now
lately when i turn on my tv and 722 theres just a black screen
i can get my guide and menu to open, i can even play and watch previously recorded shows, even very recently recorded shows seem to have been recorded just fine
so all in all everything seems to be working, it basicly doesnt want to display live broadcasts
all i can do at this point is reboot, and this does seem to work every time
obviously i dont want to have to continue doing this
what can i do to fix this, and no i dont have the maintenance contract anymore

I've had this happen just recently 2 times (strangely both times were on a Thursday evening). Same symptoms as yours, but it's only happened those two times and it's been fine since.

Then, this morning when I was getting video freeze on some channels, but not others. A reboot fixed the problem, but wondering what caused it. Had heard that they were working on satellite 119, which would explain why some channels weren't affected.

I've been seeing the same problem. It is caused by the latest software update. Be sure to write Dish letting them know about the problem!
