722 now recording part of buffer

Has anyone else noticed when watching a recorded show that stuff before the show was on also got recorded, buffer. i have had 2 shows that only showed 1 hour of recording but recorded 30 before the show came on in addition to the 60 min show. when i skipped over it the time elapsed did not change till I got to my actual recording. I know its 30 min because the show it taped on first was 30 min. long. Its weird that the timer showed 60min but the actual recording length was 90 min.
