Dish,
Please throw us Arkansans a bone. Give us KARK (NBC) from Little Rock, instead of NBC from Paducah, KY.
I'm sure most in the Jonesboro DMA are closer to Little Rock then Paducah.

Paducah could use your CBS feed since we lost our CBS feed with Raycom drama. Paducah lost a CBS feed at this time

Our CBS feed is from Memphis. Jonesboro is a one network DMA, ABC.
Dish gives us the other three networks from Memphis, not the HD versions just the SD :(
So we lost Raycom ABC from Jonesboro and Raycom NBC from Memphis. They replaced the NBC loss with Paducah.
No offense meant to Paducah but we're in Arkansas and except for PBS have no Arkansas stations.

The reason they gave you Paducah is because its on the same spotbeam as what Memphis is....so all they have to do is remap it instead of reuplinking up to 129 (where Jonesboro locals are)

doesnt work that way. The only reason Jonesboro can get a substitute NBC is because they are a one network town (ABC). So if a station gets yanked due to retrans issue and its not a local Dish can substitute a different network. Since you have a CBS in Paducah Dish cannot substitute one

Memphis SD locals are on 110 which is what they replaced. Little Rock SD locals are on 110, different spot. Here the Little Rock spot is a stronger signal then Memphis, may not be the case for the whole DMA. Local cable carries Little Rock and Springfield MO.

Interesting thing is retrans consent does not apply to distant networks. :) A station can be yanked as a local channel due to retrans consent, but the rules are different for distant networks in neighboring markets. Remember the Tribune dispute years ago? Stations were not available to local markets, but still available OOM.

until Dish gets KAIT in HD you wont get any of the networks in HD. The rule is they cannot give you the "neighboring" (fill in) stations in HD until at least one LOCAL is

Here's a thought, since we no longer have any local shouldn't they give us HD with the fill ins? :)
Bleeping stupid law makers.
