811 went wacko....

Last night all of a sudden my 811 lost sat 110 & 61.5, still getting 119. Went through the whole process of rebooting, pulling the power, running check switch. When I run check switch it only sees 119.

Now at first thought one would think bad switch, but my 522 is getting all 3 sats so that rules that out. Anyway a call to D* tech support gets me a service call on Saturday.

I was just wondering if anyone else had any weird happen to their 811 in the last 24 hours or so?

Thanks,
Brian

I was hoping it had nothing to do with the gov't putting it under siege.

Oh yeah

- Disconnect the satellite feed and run check switch, this will clear the switch matrix.
- Reboot the receiver by unplugging the power cord.
- Connect the satellite feed and run check switch again.

If you have a switch then try connecting the 811 to a different port at the switch.

Thanks for the info Randall, but I tried this before calling E*. This is very weird, I was watching Discovery HD when I got a message about signal loss. When I rebooted the receiver I got a message telling me to run a check switch.

Well I'm off to Philly for a few days, I'll let E* worry about it on Saturday.

Thanks for the help all!

Brian
