Check it out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3053369568

Note the misrepresentation by the seller, namely the MSRP of $450 and the inclusion of firewire. Load the guy up with e-mail complaints. Maybe he's just a dedicated professional DBS dealer without a clue.

And this 921 Get it now for $900

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=32845&item=3052761515

Shipping is 25. No, it's 10.

Boy he is ripping people off though. The cost of an 811 is only $399 not $450.

BTW we are now accepting 811 orders on our waiting list, see the SatelliteGuysStore Support Forum for more details. (And you don't even need to bid on Ebay) :D

921 guys seems to have a good feedback rating...

He has two negatives. One more will get him the boot. It is very easy to keep good feedback, even easier to not get negative feedback. Not a good rating in my book.

BTW, I had a return email, he still insist the 811 will have firewire.

This guy has been stealing my pictures and using them for weeks!

This guy ripped off my pictures!

Three negatives would lose his power seller rating only if he went below 98% positive.

It's easy to get negatives if you do a lot of business. There are a lot of nutcases out there like deadbeats who will leave negative when you don't ship after they don't pay!

Send a note to ebay to have them yank the copyrighted photos.

Claude:

Get some inexpensive software like Paint Shop Pro and start 'labeling' your pix (url, name, etc.) like Scott does, except put your info in a 'prime spot' so they would have to seriously ruin the picture to get rid of your text.

If you want something a bit more serious, check out http://www.digimarc.com/register/ . You can add your digimarc info to your pictures using Paint Shop Pro as well.

Hey, he responded to my email regarding the MSRP on the 811 and the lack of Firewire on it. He asked how I knew ;) and said that he'd correct his listing. I referred him to satelliteguys.us for info :)
Maybe an email to him about the photos would be fruitful?
