922 Sling connectivity

Forgive me if there is already another discussion on this. If there is please point me to it.

Here's my problem. Ever since I got my 922, I rarely am able to access it via Sling on my laptop or Android. When I get home to verify it's connected to the internet, it is. It shows a valid IP address and just to check for connectivity, I'll go to "my account" and have it pull up my recent activity and it works fine. When I am on my Android app, I go to "my receivers", it shows the connection in yellow. Not green or clear as if it's online but not connecting. I never had this problem with my 722 and sling. My 922 is connected to my wireless router via an additional switch in another room, but that should not matter as my xbox never has connectivity issues and as noted I can transmit and receive data from the 922 box.

Has anyone else had this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
I programmed my home router to always give the 922 the same IP address, that seemed to clear up a lot of issues.
