A good ol switcheroo

Seems Paramount pulled a fast one and showed the next Star Trek movie in Texas to a bunch of Trekkies who went to see Wrath of Khan. Khan broke a couple minutes into it (film melting etc), everyone was unhappy, then Nimoy walks out on stage etc etc etc. Short version: pretty much everyone loved it. And it seems their big complaints about continuity and such were taken care of. The studio is gonna make a ton of money.

Those people must have thought, this has got to be a hoax and that is a look alike sound alike nimoy on the stage! Quite a thrill for them, I wish I had been one of them. Can't wait to see this one!

I saw a preview and it looked pretty good. I'm not into Star Trek..I've never seen any of the other movies....

Is the new one a stand-alone, or is it a sequel I wont understanbd?
