On September 10, 2024, WJMN-TV 3 "Local 3" and WBUP 10 "ABC 10," owned by Morgan Murphy Media, have joined forces to bring local news to people across Michigan's Upper Peninsula, relaunching as "My UP" using WJMN-TV 3's assets and news team from Marquette along with a graphics transformation involving a new logo. As a result, WBUP 10 ended their separate newscast which was filmed on a bare-bones news set at their studios in Ishpeming. This also reunites WJMN-TV 3 with ABC, an affiliation they previously held as a semi-satellite of WFRV-TV 5 from 1983 until the buyout of their ownership group (which owned WCCO-TV 4) by CBS in 1992...
The combined newscast is also proving to be a lifeline to WJMN-TV 3, who has been weakened by the loss of the CBS affiliation to WZMQ 19.2 in 2022, an affiliation WJMN-TV 3 held for 20 years, in tandem with former semi-satellite WFRV-TV 5.
