I was finishing DT's PS3 dissection and the last sentence moved my mind:

Retrospect

All in all, the PlayStation 3 is one of the most takeapart-ready consoles we've ever seen, an enormous departure from the Xbox 360 mentality. We've already completed our first hack by attaching a 320GB hard drive to the console, and the system hasn't even launched in the US yet. The PlayStation 2 was one of the most difficult consoles to disassemble and hack, yet we're not even out the door yet and things seem to bode well for the brave hacker and the PlayStation 3.

They have upgraded its HDD to 320GB without any problem... so if it remains this hackable - based on Sony's track record, ontheir retarded attitude toward even such positive things like noebrew software on PSP etc it is unlikely -, it might be the perfect hack-a-mediabox for geek's living room.
Unfortunately it's pretty bad news for Sony: even though it would add a couple of ten thousand to PS3 sales worldwide next year, it will only make Sony's loss bigger because these people won't run Sony's OS and won't buy any games whatsoever...:p
