They listed OTA HD, Hulu & other streamers, Netflix, etc.

What's your point? That they forgot FTA Satellite?
Or, that there are so many good ways to get programming?

Some of the ways listed may be a bit limited in their ... capability ... but they benefit from simplicity for the end-user.
A buddy of mine has DishNetwork HD, and a Netflix account for blu-ray discs, AND he streams from Netflix through his blu-ray box as well.
He just disconnected his land-line and DSL (he and wife have cell phones) and is installing higher speed cable internet so he can stream in HD.

I'm sure all these ideas are well discussed in our OTA department or whatever we have here covering the subject. :)

Yes, the simplicity of their approach, though, makes it obvious they are targeting the main stream consumer...

About once a month you can read this story from a new site/news organization. It's all good for ideas on how to go without cable, although the articles kind of write themselves after awhile.

I'm sure most people don't mention FTA, simply because FTA isn't as much an alternative to cable junkies ("Where will I get my reality shows filled with preening, future Z-list celebs?") as it is a great way to view programming that isn't available elsewhere. Beyond PBS and NBC, there's not a lot of overlap -- unlike Hulu or Netflix where you get a lot of the same shows.
